Sometimes, I just want to see God do big things.  And I know He does.  I hear about them all the time.  But that just frustrates me even more.  I just feel… stifled.

It’s like when you hold the cork on a bottle and shake it until the bubbles inside can’t stand it anymore, and they just get frustrated, pounding on the walls because they can’t go anywhere.  But right when they’re at the breaking point, they send the cork flying into someone’s face and then they spray onto everyone’s clothes.  It’s awesome.

Maybe that’s what God’s doing.  Maybe that’s why He sometimes holds out as long as possible until we just want to explode.

I don’t think God is patient to act because He doesn’t hear us.  I think He just wants to saturate us with trust and faith and energy so that when the day we’ve been waiting for finally comes, we make the biggest, stickiest impact possible.

Don’t settle.  There is a lot of power behind that cork if you maintain your fervor.
