All my life, I have struggled with seeing love as a duty, a command, and obligation — not a choice or a freedom.  I have feared my own desires, avoiding them altogether by trying to make decisions a matter of “right” or “wrong” that are really just decisions where God is giving me the freedom to pick what I want, to admit where my affections and passions really lie.

This is where God gets personal. Where your life is not just governed by a book, but by a relationship you have with your own maker, who actually gave you a lot of your likes and dislikes. When you actually have to add your own input into God’s, it gets risky, but it gets exciting.  So don’t let your heart be silent.  God wants you to have a say in the direction He leads you too, you know.  He does actually value your opinion!

God delights in our freedom and our creativity.  He doesn’t care about our exact coordinates in his house all the time, He just wants us to be there with him.  And to be happy to be there.

Love is more than just duty.  It’s an adventure.

Apply faith and trust, and I assure you that He took care of the logistics of your life, and you’ll be free to truly live your life with no regrets.

If you have any decisions you’ve been wrestling with lately, I hope this has helped you somehow.

Psalm 37:4 – “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.”
