Conclusion

You made it!

Oh yeah, conclusion.

Writing is to Angry Birds as talking is to Temple Run. When you’re Talking, it’s real time, and one little mistake can run you head-first into a tree branch, leaving you at the bottom of a tiki tackle.

With Writing, you get many chances to set up what you want to say. You can lay out your answer with precision so that you can knock out as many of those stupid cartoon pig heads as possible. You can bring your best self forward. Of course, you can hide parts of yourself better through writing, which is not always ideal. But if you’re willing to be honest about your whole self, you’ll find that everyone will leave the conversation with a better understanding of the truth and of one another than when they first came.

My blog has thus far served its purpose well, and I think I want more. Despite what everyone thinks, I’m really not good at web design, and probably nobody really knows my level of video-making skills, but I pretty much don’t have any. So growing my blog and integrating all these different components is going to take a long time, unless God in His infinite grace provides me with either the skills or the revolutionary software that even a monkey could use to make an outstanding video.

I’m gonna keep praying for the future of my ministry, whether it’s online, in person, or, well, whatever options are left. Please pray for me, too, and if there’s anything lovely or excellent about my art, let it affect you deeply.

Because everything is ministry.

Everything is art. The world is a canvas — certainly not a blank one, but a canvas nonetheless. Let’s take this thing and paint it beautiful. Let’s take this thing and paint it like the world where we really belong.

And then let’s look forward to jumping into that world head-first, crying, “Blue skidoo, we can, too.”
