Purity, source, and extent

Purity, source and extent — these are the factors of strength required to correctly ascribe strength. We will find our lives the most meaningful, joyful, and righteous when we:

  1. Believe God is pure in His strength, opposing injustice and strengthening the weak
  2. Believe all pure strength comes from God, trusting Him for our strength rather than ourselves or another source
  3. Believe God’s strength is not only pure, but great enough to actually accomplish justice and mercy in every corner of existence, and every situation, whether individual, familial, organizational, national, or global in scope.

If you have been living with a tendency toward either fear or oppressive dominance, admit to God that you have not ascribed to Him the strength due His name. Don’t attempt in your own strength to change; this is a contradiction. Instead, call upon God’s sufficient strength to work in your life to accomplish what He wishes in your heart and life. Soon, you will find His strength transforming your way of thinking, believing, and acting, until they are in alignment with reality.
