Hey guys! I promised tonight would be the night I announce my big change to my blog. Why tonight? I don’t know. How about, it’s the ides of July, the middle of the summer, and it’s a good time for a big change. 🙂

Yes, that’s right, after 3.5 years, Daughter of Pearl Blog is going to be no more. I have expressed in previous posts that I’ve been pretty dissatisfied with my blog in general.

So does that mean I’m gonna stop blogging? Nope. Quite the contrary. I’m gonna get more serious about blogging than ever.

Here’s how.

Brand New Website

My blog is moving to https://blog.megbaatz.com. Plain and simple. Sign up early and you’ll get something special.

More Features

MegBaatz.com is gonna be more than just a blog. I have a vision to make it not only a blog, but also a resource, a portfolio, and even a shop.

A resource for what? Generally, making the content of the Bible more accessible to people of all kinds. As I will tell people often, the Bible has one simple, central thread sewn throughout it — and I’m convinced it’s the best message you’ll ever hear. I simply want to help reduce misconceptions, confusion, and unnecessary complexity to help you get to the bottom of this book that’s changed the human race more than any other.

A portfolio? I have some big projects planned (shhh) that I’ll eventually sell, and services that I’ll eventually reproduce for different companies, businesses, and organizations. LinkedIn and Facebook can only go so far to show the world what I can bring to it.

A shop? I need a solid place to sell my upcoming books, publications, and other projects. I’d also love to partner with others to help distribute their helpful products that pair well with with mine.

Consistency

I’ve been burdened to write not only on a more consistent basis, but also to write about topics in a more predictable manner. I’m still gonna write about music, art, philosophy, culture, church, Jesus, and inspiring people; but in a way you can predict, expect, look forward to, and rely upon.

Community

This will probably occur further down the line. But I’m not one of those people who just likes to listen to my own voice. It is one of my utmost priorities in life in general to foster critical thinking in those around me. My new site will be no exception. I’m not gonna be just another media outlet feeding you my own wacky taffy until one day you just accept it.

So there you have it. Go to https://blog.megbaatz.com and you can get on my email list as soon as today. In the meantime, I’ll keep posting on this site until the big launch day.

In the meantime…

What do you think of the change?
What would you most like to see at my site so it can reach its full potential?
Any advice for me moving forward?
